Scope of Approved Activity
Merchants may only process transactions for products and services disclosed and approved during underwriting. Processing outside the approved scope — including new products, services, or business models — may result in account suspension, termination of processing privileges, or withholding or reversal of funds. Merchants must notify their service representative of material business changes.
Merchant Responsibility
Merchants are responsible for providing accurate business information, operating lawfully, maintaining required licenses, complying with card network rules, maintaining clear customer disclosures, and managing refunds, cancellations, and disputes.
Merchant Service Disclosure
Merchant services are facilitated through a network of financial institutions, acquiring banks, payment processors, card networks, and authorized representatives. Authorized representatives may assist with onboarding, account setup, and support. Authorized representatives are not banks, card networks, or payment processors and do not independently approve merchant accounts, control underwriting decisions, guarantee funding timelines, or guarantee pricing or terms.
Applications, referrals, or pre-qualification do not guarantee approval, do not guarantee pricing or rates, do not guarantee funding speed, and do not guarantee the absence of reserves or holds. Terms may change due to underwriting review or ongoing risk monitoring.
Cash Discount & Surcharge Disclosure
Cash discount and surcharge programs may be available through payment processors and sponsor banks. Participation is voluntary and subject to applicable laws and card network rules. Merchants are solely responsible for determining program legality in their jurisdiction, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, compliance with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express rules, and proper customer disclosures, signage, and receipts.
No representations are made regarding program legality in any jurisdiction, approval or continuation, or savings, profitability, or cost reduction. Program availability may change at any time.
